Craig Levein is feeling the pressure of the demanding Hearts support with Neil Lennon being mentioned by some as a successor.
While Steve Clarke taking over from Steven Gerrard at Ibrox is only slightly more likely the former Hibs boss won’t be going anywhere near Tynecastle any time soon.
A 1-1 draw at home to St Mirren yesterday on the back of a 2-1 defeat at Motherwell last week has highlighted how stale the Jambo’s have become despite their exciting start to the season which raised expectations.
If Celtic beat Motherwell today they will arrive at Tynecastle on Wednesday 19 points clear of the Gorgie mob.
Levein picked up on the mess he created with the appointment of Neil Cathro and was given a free hit last season.
After their start to the season the club has drifted badly, highlighted by a 5-0 defeat at Livingston ahead of the winter break.
If Celtic win on Wednesday it will take more than a few barbed comments at Scott Brown to keep the Hearts fans onside with their wise-cracking boss.
Simple called CRAIG LEVEIN more entertainment at the dentist than watching his team try play football.

Craig levein simply isn’t the man to take the club forward. He’s the man who gets 5th place and says yes to the board.

As much as I love Craig Levein and want him to succeed, defended him to fans of other clubs It just isn’t happening for him. No point him going back upstairs either, club needs a whole fresh approach
