Celtic have been linked with a move for Jake Hastie.

The Motherwell winger has hit top form with a rush of goals coming in off the wing since returning from a loan spell at Alloa.

Hastie is out of contract at the end of this season and facing the dilemma of choosing between cashing in on his talent and current form or remaining at Motherwell to develop in the hope of a future pay-day.

Adding Millwall to the list of clubs interested, The Sun reports:

Winger Hastie, 19, is also being tracked by Rangers, Celtic, Hull and Middlesbrough.

The Well star has been offered a new three-year deal to stay.

Boss Stephen Robinson has urged Hastie to remain at Fir Park, but interest is mounting.

Celtic would be able to offer an obvious solution by agreeing a pre-contract deal and sending Hastie on loan to Motherwell next season.

That wouldn’t go down well with some elements of the Fir Park support but would give them a promising player for a year even if it meant that they missed out on a pay day for a home grown player.

Ryan Christie is the best example of Celtic sending a player out on loan with the midfielder having two spells at Aberdeen before grabbing his chance at Celtic when it finally emerged.
