Chris Sutton has made Steven Gerrard the laughing stock of British football.
Whether it was contempt for the question or a lack of understanding the rookie Ibrox boss decided to go off on one when it was suggested that Sunday’s visit to Celtic Park was a trip to the Lions Den.
This morning Sutton was in the company of Robbie Savage, Michael Owen and Jermain Jenas when they got round to the inevitable subject.
“I’ve never seen fans win a football match, it will be loud but it won’t be a lion’s den..”@Chris_Sutton73 wasn’t impressed with Steven Gerrard’s comments. pic.twitter.com/sC0VIfCZAK

Gerrard is a former colleague of the BT Sport team and could well be back on the sofa if things don’t pick up quickly.
Four matches without a win has killed off hopes of picking up a trophy this season with some searching questions bound to be asked if things go wrong tomorrow.
Gerrard signed a four year contract last May but as Mark Warburton and Pedro Caixinha discovered failure isn’t an option for Dave King’s managers.
