Athletic Bilbao have produced a touching video clip to celebrate Billy McNeill alongside his One Club award.

A delegation from the Basque club visited Celtic Park to present the honour the hoops legend, meeting up with Bertie Auld, Jim Craig, John Clark and Martyn McNeill.

Athletic clearly put great thought into the award as they put together footage from Lisbon, interviews with two of the Lions and footage in and around Celtic Park, focusing on the statue at the bottom of the Celtic Way.

McNeill made his Celtic debut in 1958 but had to wait until April 1965 to win his first honour when he scored the winning goal in the Scottish Cup win over Dunfermline.

A decade later he retired at the same venue after Celtic’s 3-1 win over Airdrie with the decade in-between bringing a level of success that the club had never known.

Alongside Jock Stein, McNeill dominated Scottish football with nine titles won as Celtic made their mark in European football- winning the European Cup in 1967 with one other final appearance plus two losing semi-final appearances.
