Video: Thousands throng the Gallowgate to welcome the Treble Treble winners

|

Glasgow city centre was green and white tonight to celebrate the Treble Treble winners.

Just over 25,000 fans were inside Hampden Park to witness Odsonne Edouard’s second half double deliver a Treble Treble.

Thousands more filled pubs and bars across the city to watch the action as the game swung Celtic’s way after Ryan Edwards opened the scoring for Hearts.

Once the final whistle blew fans headed towards the Gallowgate and High Street to welcome the victorious team on an open top bus.

Finding the right vantage point was a tricky task as fans waited for the bus to approach with all three domestic trophies on board.

As they waited for the arrival of the first team squad news emerged that Neil Lennon had been offered the manager’s job although the Irishman has yet to accept the offer.

In six weeks time Celtic will face the first leg of their first round Champions League qualifier with new faces essential if the new boss is to build on this season’s success.
