Strahinja Pavlovic has spoken out about being watched by Neil Lennon.

The Celtic boss was in Wales last week to watch Partizan Belgrade beat Connan’s Quay Nomads 1-0 with the 18-year-old defender believed to be the player than Lennon had his eyes on.

Any transfer business will be put on hold until Celtic’s Champions League fate is known with Pavlovic hoping to see Partizan through to the group stage of the Europa League.

Speaking to The Sun Pavlovic said:

I was flattered when I heard about Celtic watching me in Wales but for me I have to only concentrate on my immediate future and that’s at Partizan. I’ve got to think I will be at this club for a long time. I can’t afford to get caught up in speculation before the next transfer window.

My favourite clubs in Europe are Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United. My ambition is to play for one of those teams one day but I’m only concentrating on the second leg against Connah’s Quay Nomads. I think it’s a good opportunity for our fans to see a few goals from us.

Juventus were linked with Pavlovic last month which suggests that he is a top talent or a well connected agent.

Celtic spent £7m to sign Christopher Jullien from Toulouse which was a club record for a defender with Pavlovic rated in the £4m range.

Partizan would be looking for add-ons in the event of the teenager then being sold to England but that is a market that Celtic are familiar with having picked up around £6m from the sale of Virgil van Dijk from Southampton to Liverpool.
