Four days after the latest legal hammering from Mike Ashley ‘Gers Store Online’ has decided to launch this season’s away kit.
Aside from the predictable complaints about the lack of stock and outlets prepared to defy Sports Direct the latest move smacked of a desperate need to boost cash flow.
Four Sunday friendlies through July and two Europa League qualifiers has saw a flood of money go into the troubled club to top up the annual boost from season ticket sales.

Within 3 mins sizes are out of stock. Fed up with this nonsense Rangers retail farce. Wait months for tops and nothing happens then when it gets released they have about 3 in stock

Was in shop yesterday absolutely nothing in at all in training gear for adults asked when they will be in only to be told that next delivery is in October. Rangers say buy the gear yet theres nothing to buy had to go to JD and get a top. Need to get a grip.

In Monday’s ruling from the long running dispute with Sports Direct it was clear that Mike Ashley’s firm were intent on pulling the plug on the current set up run by Hummel and a distribution firm known as Elite. Specific mention was made of Sports Direct being due ‘many millions of pounds’.
While the Ibrox club attempted to play down the significance of the latest legal defeat it is starting to dawn on some fans that Dave King is involved in a battle that could prove as costly as Craig Whyte’s decision to stop paying Income Tax and National Insurance in September 2011.
Reasonable interpretation of the judgement suggests that Sports Direct will be given the profit from the 2018/19 and 2019/20 season with Elite and Hummel putting in claims to the troubled club for the loss of the 2020/21 contract.
