Neil Lennon had no transfer progress to report as he entered the final month of the transfer window.

The subject of Kieran Tierney didn’t seem to be brought up in Estonia despite the cycle of updates coming from Sky Sports with the thoughts of Celtic supporters turned towards who could be coming in.

A right-back, central defender and a striker would be very welcome additions for most supporters while midfield seems to be an area that Lennon is keen to improve.

On Friday Lennon suggested that business may be slow until Celtic’s Champions League fate is decided but with five weeks to run in the window the hoops boss is keen to add to his squad.

Asked about progress towards signing a right-back Lennon told the Daily Record: “That has stalled, so we may have to look elsewhere.”

On transfer business in general he added: “We will discuss that when we get back on Wednesday, it would be great if we could (have new faces to play St Johnstone). And we will try and get one or two in before the next tie if we qualify, which we should do, for next week.”

Other than out of contract players like Dedryck Boyata and Mikael Lustig no one has left Celtic during the transfer window despite having a first team squad close to 30 players.

Marian Shved is with the squad in Estonia where Christopher Jullien is expected to get his first taste of competitive action after watching the first three matches of the season from the substitute bench.
