Celtic have been linked with a move for Abdel Omrani.
The striker certainly impressed scoring twice for Cluj in their 4-3 win over Celtic but those are the only goals that he has scored in five appearances this season.
With a total of 14 goals, and 14 yellow cards, from 62 matches over the last two seasons it’s difficult to tell from statistics what he would be bringing to Celtic. Last night Cluj went out of the Champions League on a 2-0 aggregate to Slavia Prague.

Although Rosu describes himself as being on the Ballon d’Or jury there are no recent links on his twitter feed to published articles.
Omrani started his career with the Marseilles II side before moving to Cluj in 2016 with the French connection probably the only link to Celtic with Cristopher Jullien, Odsonne Edouard and Olivier Ntcham all starting out in French football.
With Vakoun Bayo scoring twice against Hearts at the weekend it would seem that Celtic are reasonably well off for strikers with Edouard as first choice and Leigh Griffiths as back up. Mikey Johnston, James Forrest and Ryan Christie could also be pushed into emergency use if required.
