Within an hour of the final whistle at Easter Road Celtic have published a video interview with Neil Lennon claiming that Kevin Clancy denied the hoops two clear penalties.

The hoops boss pulled no punches as he highlighted the honest mistakes of the referee and assistant Alan Mulvanny.

We had two clear penalties. I cannot believe that the referee has missed both. The one of Bauer was a stonewall penalty, Horgan has come late after he’s crossed it and Ryan’s the same. Exactly the same, what the linesman is doing I do not know

After going behind to an own goal from Kris Ajer in the opening ten minute Celtic levelled the scores when Ryan Christie headed the equaliser with his 11th goal of the season.

The second half was one way traffic towards the Hibs goal with Christopher Jullien and Odsonne Edouard both heading over the bar with decent chances.

Celtic’s finishing was wasteful but they were denied two clear penalties from almost identical positions as firstly Lewis Stevenson chopped down Ryan Christie as he cut the ball back followed soon after by Daryl Horgan grounding Moritz Bauer after he had cut the ball back.

In Clancy’s previous Celtic match he only booked Jon Flanagan for elbowing Scott Brown in the face as the players prepared to face a corner.
