There were red faces at the Daily Record today as only one of their top football reporters tipped a Celtic in the Glasgow derby.
Gordon Park, a former Clyde and Dundee United midfielder went for a 2-1 away win, as did Liam Bryce, but the big hitters almost all piled in on a home win with one- the faceless Mark McDougall- going for a 4-0 rout for the home side.
Craig Swan and Anthony Haggerty tipped Celtic to take a point but it was the other experts that brought a smile to the faces of hoops supporters with McDougall the main man.

When Rangers are in full flow at Ibrox very few teams can deal with them and that’s going to be how Steven Gerrard’s side are on Sunday. With Celtic’s defence in a bit of a makeshift state, Alfredo Morelos should have a field day. As much as Celtic are good going forward, Rangers built on a more solid defence and that will be the big difference. Comfortable Rangers win.

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but it’s actually quite difficult to get something so badly wrong.
After nine appearances and two years of failure there is nothing to suggest that Morelos is suddenly going to hit the goal trail against Celtic.
Scott Bain and Craig Gordon have kept the Colombian at bay, even his own manager Steven Gerrard had little faith in Morelos with Jermain Defoe in from the start.
When he did come on it was business as usual as the former HJK Helsinki starlet swung wildly for goal as fans in the Copland Road ducked for cover. Fraser Forster breezed through the match.
The Ibrox inquest will last 13 days until they face Livingston at home on September 14, it’s unlikely that any punters will be hanging onto the predictions of 4-0 McDougall.
