Boli Bolingoli believes that one of his Celtic team-mates can go on to become a £76m striker.

Following on from five goals in two matches for the French u-21 side Odsonne Edouard returned to domestic duties on Saturday with a double against Ross County to take Celtic back into top position in the SPFL.

On Thursday night the opposition will be of the highest standard- Lazio from Serie A- but Bolingoli, who knows a thing or two about strikers is confident that his young team-mate can inflict damage at the highest level.

As he grew up in Belgium Bolingoli watched the development of his cousin Romelu Lukaku who at the age of 26 has already played for Chelsea, Everton, Manchester United and Inter Milan.

Comparing the two strikers the Celtic defender told The Sun:

For sure he can go to the level of Romelu — Odsonne is still young and still progressing but in time he can become a big striker in the football world. You see how good he is every day, whether he’s playing for Celtic or France. He shows his quality every time.

The manager says he will not be leaving. I hope this is the case because he’s a good friend as well as a team-mate. Let’s hope he can stay as he is a very important player.

Lazio are currently sitting in seventh place in Serie A after drawing 3-3 at home to Atalanta on Saturday, fighting back from being 3-0 down at half time.
