Image for Jack Hendry post hints at comeback

Jack Hendry has taken to Instagram to post a picture of him in action for Celtic in Scott Brown’s 2017 Testimonial match.

So far the year 2019 has been a disaster for the defender who has made two substitute appearances in-between injuries and slipping further out of favour at Celtic.

Normally players in such a position will post pictures of themselves in cars, eating out, wearing new trainers or being out and about with family or friends but late on Tuesday night Hendry reminded supporters that he is still at the club.

Christopher Jullien and Kris Ajer are well established as the first choice defensive pairing under Neil Lennon who has Hatem Abd Elhamed and Nir Bitton as back up.

Hendry was signed for over £1m from Dundee by Brendan Rodgers in January 2018 but has rarely looked comfortable since switching to Celtic.

During the summer transfer window there were reports that Motherwell and Kilmarnock were interested in taking the defender on loan but with a contract that runs until June 2022 Hendry effectively has control of where his future lies.
