Lyndon Dykes has claimed that Christopher Jullien ASKED for his Livingston shirt after Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at Celtic.

The former Queen of the South striker hardly got a sniff of goal with the memories of his bullying display against Celtic in September fast fading.

After that match Jullien took to social media to apologise for his performance which has been followed by an eight-match winning run.

Speaking to The Sun about Saturday’s match Dykes said:

After the game Jullien asked to swap shirts. He’s a great player and we had a good battle. Why would I say no? After the game I shook their hands. They’re all good lads and players. When he asked I said, ‘No worries’. It’s a little bit of a compliment as well, but hopefully next time I get the better of him.

Since his off day at Almondvale Jullien has enjoyed back-to-back wins over Lazio with the home match featuring a last gasp winning goal.

Livingston haven’t won any match since their September triumph and now sit just two points above the four teams sitting in joint bottom place in the SPFL Premiership.

On Thursday Jullien will have the chance to impress fans in France when Celtic take on Rennes in the Europa League looking to finish on top of their group for the first time.
