Chris Jullien put one hurting hack in his place when he plucked up the courage to question the winning goal in the League Cup Final a fortnight ago.
The Frenchman shot home from a Ryan Christie free kick on the hour mark without a word of complaint.
Afterwards Steven Gerrard claimed that three Celtic players were offside with that message allowed to dominate the aftermath of Celtic’s triumph.
Since their win at Hampden Celtic have played three games but in a preview of tomorrow’s match against Aberdeen one journalist just couldn’t get Hampden out of his mind.
Q) Do you think that if we had VAR your goal would have stood?
For me when I scored I didn’t even look to see if I was onside. It was a goal for sure, everyone is still talking about it but I still have the medal in my house.
Celtic’s nine match winning run in the SPFL Premiership could have been discussed, as could Jullien’s recovery from the defeat at Livingston which was followed by a public apology on social media.
As well as his League Cup winners medal Jullien can look back on topping a Europa League group ahead of Lazio during his first six months as a Celtic player.
