Alex Rae fell silent today as he watched Hearts come from behind to beat the club from Ibrox 2-1 at Tynecastle.
The former St Mirren boss can usually be found sharing his views on Radio Clyde, TalkSPORT, Radio Scotland and BT Sport while also being a regular contributor to the Ladbrokes Social Club.
Ryan Kent’s goal after 48 minutes brought Rae onto Twitter but as Steven Naismith and Liam Boyce turned the match around Rae’s 56,700 Twitter followers were left in the dark.
Swift counter-attack + Barisic cross for Aribo to lay to Kent who gives @RangersFC the break through.@JamTarts 0-1 @RangersFC

After the match was over, with Celtic still five points clear at the top of the table Rae managed to compose a message.
Tomorrow night the former Ibrox midfield ace is expected to be on Radio Clyde’s Superscoreboard programme to enthuse over a classic ‘Old Firm’ battle for the title.
Celtic remain five points clear at the top of the table with a game more played, Gerrard’s side now face Ross County, Aberdeen and Hibs at Ibrox while Celtic go on the road to St Johnstone, Hamilton and Motherwell.
