Daniel Arzani has given an injury update on his Instagram account.

The Australian signed a two year loan deal in July 2018 but had his Celtic debut at Dundee in October 18 cut short when he suffered cruciate ligament damage,

After Celtic’s first day of pre-season training in June he talked confidently of being back in action but so far, he has only managed 45 minutes of a reserve team friendly against Albion Rovers.

The winger made three substitute appearances for Australia at the 2018 World Cup Finals in Russia with the Celtic loan deal appearing to be the perfect platform to kick off his career in Europe.

There has been speculation about returning early to Manchester City in order to get game time elsewhere but there hasn’t been any official word from either club.

As Brendan Rodgers pointed out when Marian Shved was signed a year ago Celtic have ‘about a million wingers’ but with Scott Sinclair in the wilderness and Moi Elyounoussi out injured there may be an opening for a winger once the squad return from their training break in Dubai.
