Jeremie Frimpong was seeing a specialist today to assess the extent of the injury that he suffered last week at Kilmarnock.

The teenager missed the weekend win over Ross County and will also be on the side-lines for tomorrow’s match against St Johnstone.

Frimpong required six minutes of treatment before being stretchered off at Rugby Park but Celtic are hopeful that no serious damage has been done. No action was taken by referee Don Robertson who will referee next Wednesday’s match at Motherwell.

Question? How is Jeremie Frimpong?

He is seeing a specialist today, we’ll know the extent of the injury after that. He’s had a scan on it so hopefully it won’t be too bad.

Question? Seen a few reports that clubs from down south are already having a look at him, must be a compliment that he is attracting that sort of interest.

I think that he’s been fantastic. You miss his energy, you miss his speed, his quality on the ball so the sooner that he gets back fit the better.

Moritz Bauer replaced Frimpong for the win over Ross County and is expected to retain his place for tomorrow’s visit to St Johnstone.

After stretching their lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership table to five points Neil Lennon is looking for his side to extend the three match winning run that they have been on since returning from the winter break.

Kris Ajer and Ryan Christie are back in contention for a place with Jozo Simunovic the only injury doubt from the weekend win over Ross County.
