In the current climate our emergency services are stretched almost to breaking point. Police, fire and ambulance services are on full alert to support the National Health Service at a time of national crisis.

Hundreds of thousands of people are in Lockdown, unable to go to their work and for those without gardens they are permitted one visit a day outside of their front door.

Many people in this country will be picking up 80% of their basic wage at the end of this month. 20% will be missing with no sign of the bonus money that allows them to just about live a little.

Living in a little vacuum away from the ordinary folk are a privelidged few including those at the state broadcaster- British Broadcasting Corporation (Scotland).

Among the many taking a living from the Sports department is Kenny MacIntyre, someone of little known talent who would be unlikely to survive the first job cull at a commercial operator.

For amusement this morning MacIntyre turned to twitter and thought that it would be a good idea to retweet a photoshopped image of Mark Hateley preparing to set fire to a football ground in Dundee.

According to Kenny Mac’s caption with the retweet this image provides a few laughs. You have to wonder about the thought process that led to him highlighting that tweet and adding his own ‘fun’ comments.

Wilful fire raising isn’t really a funny subject, perhaps BBC Scotland could send Kenny Mac to work with the Emergency Services for the next fortnight to appreciate the job they do and the incredible good fortune he enjoys in his current posT.
