Dave Cormack has explained to Premiership clubs that his dodgy minutes from last Friday’s conference call was only a draft.

League reconstruction was the main topic of discussion but with that ruled out the issue of the 2019/20 season was raised.

The Scottish Government has banned group training before June 10 by which time five Premiership clubs will be left with shadow squads as contract expire.

With the last round of fixtures played on March 7 and the 2020/21 season due to start of August 1 time has effectively run out on the current season.

That was acknowledged during the conference call but afterwards clubs were surprised that the minutes recorded the vote as a consensus rather than unanimous.

This afternoon the Premiership clubs will host another conference call, with reconstruction and the EGM off the agenda concluding the 2019/20 season will be top priority.

The Daily Record reports:

In a separate section entitled ‘draft minutes’ Cormack went on to confirm that, on Tuesday morning, both Celtic and Hamilton raised the issue of wrongly worded minutes arguing that it was misleading to suggest a ‘consensus’ had been reached when, in fact, the decision had been unanimous.

Cormack went on: “I repeat, these were DRAFT minutes.

“Kevin MacIver (AFC Finance Director) circulated these on Sunday 10th of May at 1:58 pm asking for comments.

“No comments were received by any club until Tuesday, when Michael Nicholson (at 10:00am) and Les (at 10:07am) sent emails.

“Both requested the exact same, one-word change to the DRAFT minutes to say “unanimous” and not “consensus”.

“This change was made immediately, without question, and resent to all clubs, removing the word DRAFT.”

With Derek McInnes’ side a point behind Motherwell Aberdeen should miss out on a Europa League place but with no Scottish Cup winner they are expected to be given a back door root into the competition, assuming that the clubs above them comply with UEFA licence regulations.
