Alex Rae’s status among Ibrox fans plummeted tonight after an appearance on Radio Clyde’s Super Scoreboard.
His crime? He congratulated Neil Lennon on winning the SPFL Premiership title!
The Celtic boss was a guest on Radio Clyde’s flagship show with Rae joining in the congratulations alongside Hugh Keevins and host Gordon Duncan.
For two months Rae has been denying reality, coming up with every excuse and delay possible to halt Celtic’s inevitable title success.
All of a sudden he became an expert in governance, understood Company Law and the SPFL rule book.
On Twitter he had congratulated Scottish Rugby for declaring their championship Null & Void overlooking the fact that only a handful of games had been played.
The former Sunderland and Wolves midfielder had the chance to put his views to Lennon but opted to congratulate the Celtic boss, his Twitter feed won’t make for comfortable viewing tonight!
