Scott Brown will have his familiar battle look back in force for the start of the season- the Clippers are coming out.
The Celtic skipper has almost been sporting a ‘boy band’ look in recent weeks with a jet black mop of hair styled in various ways.
It’s not quite the Broony that Celtic fans recognise with the close cut hair-do a feature of successive trophy picture shoots.
Some of his past and present team mates have splashed out a small fortune to regain a head of hair but it’s only a matter of days before Brown regains his familiar old look.
The Daily Record reports:
And he insisted he’ll have his battle face on by the start of August – as well as his war haircut. Brown said: “The barnet is mid-life crisis No.3, isn’t it?! No, it’s definitely coming off, that’s for sure. Everyone else shaved their heads during lockdown so I decided to grow mine because I don’t like to be a sheep.”
On Thursday Brown will celebrate his 35th birthday with the drive for more trophies as strong as ever.
This week the SPFL are expected to publish the 2020/21 Premiership fixtures with Celtic expected to start the campaign at home on August 1.
Brown has a further 12 months on his current contract, barring any unexpected developments he is expected to sign a fresh deal at some stage in the season ahead.
