John Swinney, the Deputy First Minister, expects Scotland to reach Phase 4 in August- which would allow supporters back inside football grounds.
The Scottish Government and football authorities have been in dialogue since March over dealing with the pandemic with the SPFL taking the step to suspend football on Marc 13, three days ahead of the date planned by Holyrood.
John Swinney just said on Radio Scotland that he expects us to be in phase 4 by August. Thats fans in the ground for games territory. We are going to be watching 10IAR live by the sounds of it.

Well if the weans are all going back to school without social distancing measures in August then it’s basically back to normal. Very risky strategy.

With the death rate in Scotland down to zero most days of the week pressure is building on the Scottish Government to ease the nation back out of Lockdown.
Ironically, in contrast to the UK the Scottish Government has taken a cautious or even conservative approach to relaxing restrictions but that is coming under growing criticism.
From July 4 pubs, restaurants and even cinemas will open in England provided safety measures and social distancing is in place. In England social distancing will be changed to ‘one plus metres’.
Celtic and the SRU have been at the forefront of providing safe stadium solutions, if social distancing is reduced to one metre plus families allowed one or two bubbles it should be possible to allow 20,000 supporters to watch matches safely inside Celtic Park.
