Just like Alex Rae, David Tanner has become an expert on International Law. Especially in France and Belgium!
The former Sky Sports anchor man has spent the last few months reinventing himself as an outspoken pundit with one issue in particular the target for his anger.
It was an issue approved by over 80% of SPFL clubs, soon after it was given the unanimous backing of all 12 Premiership clubs.
Celtic’s success in 2020 has been completely overlooked, almost as much as the multiple failures of Steven Gerrard as his team wilted when presented with a 50-50 chance of winning the Premiership.
All that Neil Lennon did was send out a winning team. Gerrard’s failures against Hamilton, Hearts, Kilmarnock and St Johnstone have been body-swerved to attack the SPFL.
The SPFL is a members’ organisation, they follow company law and went through the proper processes to finish the leagues early.
As soon as football was suspended the majority of SPFL players went on the Furlough Scheme. Today most contracts end, in the Championship there are a handful of contracted players at each club, in the Premiership clubs would struggle to list a first XI and seven subs after taking their squads out of Furlough.
The SPFL only had one option, if Gerrard’s squad hadn’t lost 13 points over the course of 10 SPFL matches Tanner and the other apologists would be celebrating the Liverpool Legend’s first ever title win.
#Hearts will be watching this with interest.
An ill-conceived and clearly unfair plan booted into touch… by courts in France. #SPFL https://t.co/19HCziZUSG— David Tanner (@DavidTannerTV) June 9, 2020
What’s ten-in-a-row got to do with relegation?
Have you read the story – or is that just your response to everything?— David Tanner (@DavidTannerTV) June 9, 2020
What about it?
— David Tanner (@DavidTannerTV) June 9, 2020
Yes, I know.
The French and the Belgians didn’t allow a club to change its vote after the result was know.
I presume that’s what you’re flagging up.— David Tanner (@DavidTannerTV) June 9, 2020
A vote that any club had 28 days to change ?
You don’t do company law do you ?
