Stewart Robertson was under attack after telling Ibrox fans that if they can’t tolerate players taking the knee they won’t be welcome at the stadium.
Overlooking the obvious fact that games are currently being played behind closed doors it was a risky strategy from the Ibrox Managing Director to make with a large vocal element of the club consistently showing extreme right-wing support.
Last season UEFA twice closed parts of Ibrox as punishment for racist actions from supporters.
Over the weekend Connor Goldson was under attack from Ibrox fans after taking the knee against Nice and trying to confront the supporters that criticised the gesture.
It seems that the last few weeks has opened the eyes of many players of the politics and mindset of the fans that pay their wages.
The overwhelming response to the statement was positive but it wasn’t difficult to find fans at odds with the statement from Robertson.

The fact that some of the comments to our players where mostly from our own fans is vile we get a lot of hate everywhere but when it our own fans its disgusting #EveryoneAnyone ???

No matter how much is said about intolerance towards racism, screenshots will be taken by a select few MSM sites and used as a weapon against the ‘Everyone Anyone’ campaign. Rangers need to be clear of how racism will dealt with and follow through.

What DID you do about the racial abuse Alfredo suffered at the east end stadium? I can’t remember you calling them out about it but instead took the quiet dignified approach as always ?

Equality = All lives matter

We’re all with the club. We’re all against racism. But, not all of us support the BLM movement. That’s the problem.

The vast majority of Rangers fans don’t take to kindly to ” the knee”
