Stewart Robertson has told Ibrox fans that if they aren’t welcome if they can’t tolerate players taking the knee.

The club’s social media platforms have been swamped with poisonous comments since Steven Gerrard’s side took the knee against Lyon on Thursday night.

Against Nice on Saturday the player again took the knee with many raising their first in support of Black Power.

Connor Goldston took to social media to challenge some of the reactions but instead was again abused with one fan calling for him to leave the club ASAP.

After the standard reference to abuse of Alfredo Morelos, Robertson made his feelings known to the fans that have refused to move out of the 17th century.

Robbo stated:

As a club, we stand firmly behind our players who have taken a knee prior to recent games. This is a strong stance against racism.

We will work tirelessly to protect our players every single day and will not tolerate the abuse or hatred that some have had to endure in recent days.

To be clear, if you are unable to support our players, regardless of their background, you are not welcome at Ibrox. Rangers is a club for all.

It remains to be seen whether Gerrard’s players take the knee before Wednesday’s closed doors friendly against Motherwell.
