Steven Gerrard has refused to confirm if Alfredo Morelos will face Aberdeen tomorrow in the opening SPFL fixture.
The usual fake news about transfers has surrounded the Colombian striker but a reliable source in France claimed that the player had agreed personal terms to join Lille.
There has been no comment from the player or his club on that claim but the lack of transfer activity would suggest that any offer for Morelos would be welcomed.
With Jermain Defoe crocked Gerrard has no other striking options but must weigh up Morelos’ state of mind before picking him against a team that he has been sent off three times against.
? Steven Gerrard confirms Alfredo Morelos is available to face Aberdeen tomorrow despite speculation about his future.
“I’ve had some detailed chats with Alfredo this week. He tells me he’s ready, he looks ready”.
