Ibrox fans have gone into meltdown after it was revealed that Sports Direct would be selling their treasured Castore kit.
Back in April the club announced that a new retail deal was in the pipeline, when the novices from Castore came on the scene they were given heroes welcome with the Likely Lads from Liverpool saying everything that battle-bears wanted to hear.
At no stage did the club ever state that their long running issues with Sports Direct had been concluded but with a flood of positive messages from the Cliché Department of Castore memories of 9-in-a-row were blanked out as they speculated over their Castore kit which would be the envy of the sporting world.
Late this afternoon Sports Direct announced on Facebook that they would be selling the treasured kit from August 1 and the nightmare of big Mike returned. Surely, surely not. They couldn’t have been stung again. Who could be that gullible?
The social media cheerleaders were sent into action, questioning the wording from Sports Direct, surely a wind up. A club statement was promised as the pages of fury piled up on Fan Forums.
Hours passed by, no statement. Sales of the Castore kit have halted, some of the staunchest of bears have cancelled their orders.
And in the morning Sports Direct will still be hovering over the Blue Room of Dignity with Chairman Park still to give his first video interview let along explain why Mike Ashley is still at the centre of the club’s merchandise and retail operations.
Can’t stand the scum that is “Sports Direct” whom it seems the last few years have set out to piss off our fan base whilst robbing the club of its potential.
Something is not right here! This is sheer antagonism and obsession by Ashley, no 2 ways about it. Fucking despise them

“This represents a clean slate and marks the start of a new era in the club’s commercial retail operations.

The silence from Rangers is deafening in regards to this sports direct carry on. It needs cleared up immediately

RT @1872Curtis: Why haven’t the club cleared this up? We trusted ITK accounts saying Ashley had fully gone and now on kit launch day Sports Direct is back selling our kits in their stores. Any clarity?

If you spend a single quid in a sports direct store, the louden pub or entertain the follow follow fat fuck I genuinely want to know why? As a rangers fan why do you continue to find these scumbags?

You’d think being so in the know and having access to every detail everywhere- that Angus would have thought to get this message out ahead of Sports Direct announcing their exclusivity today?
I mean- why sit on this information until after it is announced? Unless… https://t.co/2fluCajKIX

I wasn’t getting at Rangers directly. My point is, that it can only happen to Rangers on the day of a kit release, as in all this sports direct shite.

Just my opinion this
To the people who saying simply don’t buy from Sports Direct don’t really understand the anger.
They literally ripped us off then stood by it as it was dragged through courts. Seasons of not being able to buy tops. Megastore rental making peanuts.

On sports direct Instagram the word exclusively isn’t there, that’s what’s worrying that “word” but maybe the Facebook page got it wrong. Let’s be honest with sales in the 10s of thousands today they wouldn’t have been happy. Maybe mischief making. Statement should clear it up…

Personally I couldn’t give a shit were our kits are sold. That said I totally understand the anger that surrounds the whole Sports Direct shambles.
Only Rangers are capable of causing havoc on the day of a kit reakease.— ?? cozy1872 ?? (@cozy1872) July 1, 2020
