Celtic won’t have an away fixture against a top six club until October 2 when they travel to St Johnstone for a Friday evening kick off.

On the face of it Neil Lennon’s side have been given a fairly gentle start to the season although there will be a lot of unknowns due to matches being played Behind Closed Doors or in front of reduced attendances.

Celtic open their campaign at home to Hamilton Accies on August 2 followed by away matches at Kilmarnock and St Mirren.

Further away matches are scheduled at Dundee United and Ross County before they play at St Johnstone. That is followed by an international break then the hoops host the first Glasgow derby of the season on October 17.

International commitments mean that there are just three Premiership matches in September and two in November.

With no winter break six fixtures are scheduled for December and five for January. Celtic will open 2021 at Ibrox on January 2 with the other Glasgow derby dated for March 20.

Post split Celtic will visit Ibrox, Fir Park and Pittodrie unless there are some major surprises in the results.
