Tom Rogic has called off a proposed move to Qatar.
Celtic appeared close to agreeing terms for the midfielder but the deal has been called off apparently due to personal terms.
Rogic has been dogged by injury troubles over the last two years but it seems that he wants to remain in a more competitive environment with the Qatar league more known as a well-rewarded stepping stone towards retirement.
Tom Rogic’s proposed £3.5million move to Qatar is off.
It’s understood the Australian international could not agree personal terms with the unnamed club.
Celtic are happy for the 27-year-old to stay at the club, but understand his desire for regular first-team football.

Neil Lennon signed Rogic from Central Coast Mariners in January 2013 but ever since he played at the 2019 Asian Cup in the UAE his playing time has been severely limited.
The 27-year-old has been on the bench twice for Celtic this season without making an appearance with the competition for places increased by the signing of David Turnbull.
With his availability and price tag now known it is likely that there will be interest in Rogic from elsewhere although most Celtic fans will be hoping that there is another chapter to write about his time in Scotland.
