John Hartson has joined the Celtic support in praising Leigh Griffiths.
In his first appearance since March the former Hibs striker headed the breakthrough goal at St Johnstone as Celtic were staring at two dropped points.
Hartson dealt with a few demons during his own playing career and has reached out to Griffiths with the offer of help as he drops in and out of contention at Celtic.
Neil Lennon did much the same yesterday as he chucked on the substitutes to break the deadlock as the clock ticked towards a 0-0 draw against St Johnstone.
When Hatem Abd Elhamed threw in a cross in the 90th minute Griffiths met it with a header that Hartson would have been proud of as a wave of relief and celebration swept through the watching Celtic support.
Now the big question is what sort of role Griffiths will have in the Glasgow derby in 12 days time.
