Celtic are reported to have checked out the availability of Liverpool winger Harry Wilson.

After a permanent move to Burnley collapsed last week it should be fairly clear that the Welsh winger is available after spending the last two seasons out on loan at Derby County and Bournemouth.

Last season’s step up to play in the EPL at Bournemouth failed to work out as expected after Wilson had excelled playing for Derby in the Championship under Frank Lampard.

The Sun reports:

Celtic have also been checking the availability of Liverpool’s Welsh international Harry Wilson who saw a move to Burnley collapse. The Kop still want a fee for Wilson who also wants a full-time move, but a showcase loan to Scotland might work for him.

Wilson played 90 minutes and missed a penalty in Liverpool’s shootout defeat to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Thursday.

A permanent move would probably cost in the region of £10m with Liverpool insisting on strong add-ons.

That sort of deal looks to be too rich for Celtic to take on but on the final day of the transfer window a loan move might be all that is on the table for Wilson.

With the European Championships to look forward to at the end of this season the 23-year-old will be anxious to get back into action with little prospect of featuring for Jurgen Klopp this season.
