Previewing tomorrow’s match against AC Milan, Neil Lennon has admitted that he understands why he could have been sacked three days earlier.
On Sunday Celtic put up a gutless, shapeless performance to lose 2-0 to Ross County, bringing to an end a 35 match winning run in domestic cup ties as they notched up their fourth successive home defeat.
Across Social Media the anger was split between Lennon and Chief Executive Pater Lawwell but it’s the manager that is put out to face the media before and after matches.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon admits he would have understood if he was sacked after Sunday’s defeat to Ross County but is glad to have the backing of the board.

Reports of crunch talks about Lennon’s future may or may not have been accurate but on Tuesday night Lawwell showed his face to issue a rallying call to supporters that offered no insight into the run of two wins in 10 matches that have left the club toiling in the SPFL and out of two cup competitions.
Lennon currently has a 12 month rolling contract after having his appointment upgraded to permanent following the 2019 Scottish Cup Final win over Hearts at Hampden.
