Chris Jullien has been confirmed as the Celtic player that has tested positive from the Dubai trip but tonight’s match against Hibs goes ahead with 13 players self-isolating.
In a season of constant bad news it is still incredible that a player out of action for three to four months took the trip to Dubai when his rehabilitation could have continued at home.
Jullien suffered knee ligament damage during the 2-0 win over Dundee United on December 30, three days later on Sky Sports Neil Lennon confirmed the extent of the injury.
BREAKING: Celtic have confirmed that Christopher Jullien tested positive for #COVID19.
Manager Neil Lennon, assistant John Kennedy and 13 other players are self-isolating, after being deemed as close contacts.

For reasons hard to understand Jullien was then included in the squad that flew to Dubai but was clearly unable to take part in the training routines of his team-mates.
Despite having 13 players forced into self isolation tonight’s match with Hibs goes ahead as planned followed by two matches against Livingston with the same players missing.
It is believed that 30 players made the trip to Dubai with Karamoko Dembele and others such as Cameron Harper likely to be called up after not featuring in the club’s media output from Dubai.
