Neil Lennon has continued his attacks on the Celtic squad accusing them of being insipid and suggesting that some might be tired of living in Scotland.

The hoops boss appears to have been on an incredible run of media interviews after watching his side lose 2-1 at home to St Mirren. As Peter Lawwell reminded shareholders in December £35m has been spent on the squad since Lennon was given the job on a permanent basis.

Tellingly Celtic haven’t spent a penny during the current transfer window despite bringing in £11m from the transfer of Jeremie Frimpong to Bayer Leverkusen.

I need some support, some performances from players. Too many of them have been insipid this season to say the least.

Maybe the pressure of doing the 10 has been too much for them, or tired of winning, of playing in Scotland, of living in Scotland I don’t know.

On Wednesday night Lennon praised the players for a run of the mill 2-0 win over Hamilton Accies and went with the same starting XI against St Mirren today.

The Paisley side looked organised and well drilled, going in at half-time leading 2-1 with goalkeeper Jak Alnwick only having one meaningful save to make during the second half- a stoppage time header from Shane Duffy.
