Michael Stewart has delivered a powerful and stinging attack on Celtic’s disastrous season.
Saturday’s 0-0 draw wasn’t a shock as the car crash season continued with the club falling apart in every area.
Peter Lawwell’s video message included an appeal for unity but there was no sign of that on the park as fans looked in from afar as Peter Martin described another episode of failure.
At the start of the season Stewart was part of Sunset Vine’s production of Celtic matches but that ‘added value’ aspect seems to have been cast aside with Darren O’Dea, Willie McStay and John Collins providing insight while former Radio Clyde anchorman Gerry McCulloch talked up every aspect to fans that had paid £500 and more for a stream.
With 13 players in self isolation Celtic were unable to list a striker in their squad with yesterday’s action directed from the dugout by a former Doncaster and Peterborough assistant manager.
There was little evidence of Celtic having a fitness edge on the back of their stay at a five-star facility with world class facilities. Celtic TV opted out of a mug shot of Lawwell watching from the Directors Box.
In-house any sort of debate or criticism is quickly stubbed out, Stewart’s thoughts were welcomed by supporters with Celtic fans recognising that the former Hearts and Hibs midfielder has o axe to grind- he calls things as he sees it without screaming out for attention.
Celtics season is whimpering to an end. No energy, no desire, no urgency and psychologically they now look as low as ever.

A catalogue of issues across the board that have had a compound effect. Formation forever changing, tactical uncertainty, poor recruitment, complacency at all levels that have lead to a collapse that I don’t anyone could’ve predicted would’ve been so bad so quick.

However complacency issue has probably been noticeable for a while and that has inevitably lead to these other things. Any organisation is either successful or not by having the right people in the right roles and Celtic on all fronts haven’t done that recently.
