St Mirren had been hanging on grimly to a one goal deficit but the roof caved in when Ryan Fynn tugged at Greg Taylor’s shoulder, when Don Robertson pointed to the penalty spot Odsonne Edouard netted for the fifth match running.
The Frenchman was replaced by Patryk Klimala but he had barely found his seat in the stand when Rogic laid the ball off to Ryan Christie who steered the ball into the net from a tight angle.
Turnbull completed a burst of three goals in less than four minutes when he finished off a good passing move to give Celtic fans some winter cheer during a season where little has gone their way.
