Slavia Prague boss Jindrich Trpisovsky has detailed exactly what happened with Glen Kamara 50 minutes after Slavia Prague knocked Steven Gerrard’s side out of the Europa League.

The Scottish media have been very hesitant to cover the incident while it is difficult to find any coverage or criticism of Kemar Roofe for his studs in face attack on Ondrej Kolar.

UEFA are investigating Thursday’s match at Ibrox but picking up on quotes from the Czech Republic, The Sun reports Trpisovsky saying:

What happened in Glasgow was the worst experience of my career. It’s incomprehensible to me what happened there. I’ll tell you what happened. About 50 minutes after the match, we were asked by Rangers manager Steven Gerrard to meet with UEFA.

When we came to the tunnel for a meeting, before a word was said, Kamara threw his fists at Kudela and then ran away. I was two metres away. I thought the meeting would be about the injury to our goalkeeper, but attacking a player 50 minutes after the match…? It was the worst thing I have ever seen in football.

Rangers should look at Leicester City and how they took their elimination. We also won 2-0 there and they shook hands with us. It is said that one must be able to accept defeat and lose. Leicester did it, but it was the exact opposite with Rangers.

We thought that it would be best for Ondrej to be right back on the field. We had to check his health because he was quite shaken after the attack on him last week. Despite everything that happened to him, you could see how focussed he was.

He said he was fine to play on Friday and I am just glad he was able to concentrate on the match after what happened.

Yesterday Slavia won 4-0 at home to Opava in the Czech League, in the Europa League they will host Arsenal in the next round as they go for a triple triumph over British clubs having knocked Leicester out at the Round of 32.
