Kris Boyd had the smile wiped from his face as he watched Dundee United beat Steven Gerrard’s stars at Tannadice today.
Pre-match the former Portland Timbers goal-ace was as smug as ever as he anticipated a continuation of last season’s freak results.
Star signing John Lundstrum was given his first domestic start, being kind to him it looks like he has still to adjust to the pace of Scottish football.
??”This is Dundee United’s day. Rangers were beaten by the better team.”
Kris Boyd reacts to the result at Tannadice and insists one Ibrox player has “a lot to improve on”. What did you make of the game?

Alfredo Morelos was back in the side but causing more bother to his skin tight Castore top than the Dundee United defence which was expertly marshalled by Charlie Mulgrew.
The only goal of the game came from Jamie Robson in the 64th minute as he slammed his shot beyond Jon McLaughlin.
Gerrard had 30 minutes to find a winner, Scott Wright, Cedric Itten and Jermain Defoe were sent on to salvage a point but in the end Boyd had to front things up afterwards to Sky Sports viewers.
