Tom English decided that the first Europa League victory of the season for a Scottish club wasn’t worth a tweet.

BBC Scotland had their chief sports writer in place to cover the match yesterday but he seemed thoroughly uninterested in the match, perhaps still unhappy at missing out on a jolly to the Tokyo Olympics or watching the Lions chasing eggs in South Africa.

Wee Chris McLaughlin went to the Olympics with Hamish Scrumhaff on tour with the Lions as Tom observed from afar.

Turmoil or conflict at Celtic are sure to interest English, last season he accused fans of being bedwetters when they correctly forecast that Neil Lennon’s side was collapsing while they watched from behind closed doors.

The good news for egg chasers is that they can discuss a new book with the man from the state broadcaster, I’m sure hundreds will be rushing out to buy the latest English masterpiece.
