Ange Postecoglou has put his hand up over the decision to switch penalty taker.
In stoppage time against Livingston the hoops were given a golden opportunity to take full points when Bobby Madden awarded a penalty.
Josip Juranovic has scored twice from the penalty spot in seven Celtic appearances, after Callum McGregor’s miss against Ferencvaros the Croatia appeared to have solved an issue.
Once Madden had awarded the penalty most fans were surprised to see Giorgos Giakoumakis with the ball, after a very short run up his shot was easily saved by Max Stryjek.
Instantly fans were asking why Juranovic hadn’t taken the penalty, after the draw Postecoglou told The Sun:
He was always taking the penalty. It was my decision, he was the designated penalty taker. He wasn’t on the pitch last week when Juranovic took it – and it was my call today.
Celtic were way short of their recent levels throughout yesterday’s match, unable to create chances or find ways to stretch the Livingston defence- much like had happened last month when the two sides met at Almondvale.
Rather than reflecting on going to the top of the SPFL Premiership Celtic fans are looking back at a massive opportunity lost and realising that the team hasn’t progressed as much as recent results have suggested.

The Livi goalie can only deal with what’s in front of him. A clean sheet at Celtic Park, give him some credit. However he did it – he did his job. As did Joe Hart.
Ange and the team had a bad day can’t keep dropping points at home or away if we are going to challenge the bigots for the leauge the bigots up 4 at present and 4 points again in front celtic at present not good enough to take advantage of the bigots bit and start form .
