Monday is apparently D-Day for Giovanni van Bronckhorst to take over from Steven Gerrard.

That is the view of the Daily Record but on-message podcast Heart & Hand has taken to trashing the Record’s running commentary about the vacancy.

Van Bronckhorst’s agents have been keeping Sky Sports fully briefed about the situation, forcing their client into the spotlight after he lost his job in China last December.

The former Barcelona midfielder was in and out of London over the weekend but there has been no confirmed reports of other candidates being interviewed.

Late on Sunday night, Keith Jackson of the Daily Record reported:

Record Sport understands the Ibrox hierarchy expect to make a final decision on the identity of Steven Gerrard’s successor on Monday – with the Dutchman a red hot favourite for the position after holding signing talks with a club delegation in London on Saturday afternoon.

The absence of any updates during Sunday has alarmed some Ibrox fans with Jimmy Bell and Jermain Defoe taking training tomorrow after Graeme Murty tweeted a sickie

With the internationalists returning on Wednesday and a League Cup semi-final against Hibs on Sunday time is against Ross Wilson as he attempts to get his first major deal over the line in his role as Sporting Director.

What a rotten klub and whoever is unfortunate enough to take over the wheel at the bigotdome needs to..
    Firstly—be lacking chromosomes or,
    Secondly—desperate for work or,
Thirdly—high as a balloon and forced into signing some dodgy contract…all three perhaps so good luck to whatever desperado decides to hook up with the wangers…popular klub, I swear!!

The banter years on the way back ? What an embarrassment of a club although to be fair it,s good entertainment. Stevie G getting it tight because he left knowing they are a busted flush.
