Connor Goldson delivered the most incendiary post match interview since Neil Lennon blamed want-away players for Celtic’s Champions League defeat to Ferencvaros.

It never ended well for the former Celtic boss, hoops fans can now sit back and watch the car crash at Ibrox in all of its glory.

Goldson’s side may be sitting four points clear at the top of the SPFL Premiership and a home win over Sparta Prague from progress in the Europa League but nothing can disguise the turmoil inside Ibrox.

Like Celtic last season a Champions League defeat has exposed the shortcomings of the players and management.

Half a dozen players are desperate to leave but have been beaten to the exit door by Steven Gerrard. All the spin in the world can’t cover up the fault lines running through the squad with Giovanni van Bronckhorst left to pick up the pieces at a club that has gone stale.

The we are 2-0 down then they score a third goal and the game is over. We can be in there at half-time and say ‘believe in ourselves and blah blah blah’ but the game is over, you are 3-0 down, 3-1 down at half-time, it is nowhere near good enough.

After that performance we need it, we need a change, we need a spark. I feel like, I don’t want to say this but we’ve lost a bit of hunger.

Sparta Prague may be negotiated but SPFL visits to Livingston and Hibs follow on in the week after that Europa League tie.

Meanwhile the huge financial problems aren’t getting any better with a squad shrinking in value every time they go out onto the park.

I think sevco supporters need to pipe down and go easy on conor and the rest of their superstars…that follow follow lot seem to be undesirables and very unsporting when the ball doesn’t bounce their way!!

At the end of the day it’s only a game of football and sevco, as a new klub punched above their weight last yr when other clubs had more pressing issues during a global pandemic.

The ranger footy club were always going to find life difficult this year so, back off follow fella and back sevco and especially my favourite hunny…scotty arsefield, he’s fab!
