John Paul Taylor has set the record straight over a far fetched story that appeared in the Daily Mail which suggested near carnage at Celtic’s match away against St Johnstone.

On Tuesday afternoon the Scottish Government announced that from December 26 outdoor events would have a maximum capacity of 500 which instantly wiped out the 4,000 tickets sold to Celtic fans for yesterday’s match.

A group of around 30 supporters opted to take advantage of some viewing points to look inside McDiarmid Park and get their final glimpse of the hoops in 2021.

Across social media there were a few pictures of the fans that attracted some light hearted comments alongside a heavy police presence that enjoyed a very quiet and incident free shift. But someone at the Daily Mail keen to generate web traffic decided on a very different take.

No statues, monuments or police officers were reported to have been injured in the ‘shocking scenes’.
Earlier this month the Daily Mail jumped the gun reporting on Celtic drawung 1-1 away to Ross County despite Tony Ralston heading a late winner.

Celtic very rarely comment on media coverage of the club, either the Supporters Liaison Officer is acting off the cuff or the club is about to tackle distortions.

I don’t recall such hype when TRIFC fans turned up on a few occasions last season when we where in a lock down Livingston was one of the games, the hatred for us is strong.

Typical blue nosed reporters, trying to justify sevcos outrageous behavior both at that big TOILET called Ibrox with Gerrard and in George square causing CARNAGE and breaking lockdown. Celtic fans are well behaved wherever we go since I can remember in my time and I am 60 years old. Sevco so called fans cause carnage wherever they go, funny I never seen a red white and blue hat, scarf flag or strip in the wilderness years then they all crept out the woodwork SO CALLED FANS.
