Ange Postecoglou wants Celtic to keep on winning matches to overcome things that could derail their hopes of success.

Over the last month the hoops boss has been very retrained and diplomatic over a number of contentious incidents involving his players.

In the League Cup semi-final at Hampden Stephen Welsh had to be substituted after Shaun Rooney elbowed him in the face, referee Nick Walsh awarded a yellow card.

At Tannadice Calum Butcher escaped with a booking from Don Robertson for a brutal attack on David Turnbull that brought a retrospective three match ban from the SFA.

Last night at Ross County Carl Starfelt was handed a bloodied nose then red carded with the hoops denied a 95th minute penalty when a Callum McGregor shot was elbowed away from goal.

That catalogue would have some managers simmering on the brink but picking up on his post-match interview with Radio Scotland, the Daily Record reports Postecoglou saying:

Look, I think a few decisions went against us tonight but I’m not going to complain about it, I just want to win games of football.

That’s what I keep telling the lads, we just keep doing our thing, keep winning games of football and don’t worry about any of these other things that try to potentially derail us.

On Sunday at Hampden, John Beaton will referee the League Cup Final between Celtic and Hibs.

The Celtic board should be asking questions of the refereeing standard against their players before a player gets seriously injured. The sfa should receive a strong letter from Celtic regarding these matters. Boyd, McCoist, Moore, Miller , Craigan , English , Keevins, but a few to mention. What a shower of hypocrites.
