Reo Hatate flew out of Japan on Tuesday night and is expected to arrive in Scotland today.Â
The midfielder joined Celtic on Friday but unlike Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi he has still to clock in at Lennoxtown.Â
Hatate’s domestic season was extended into December unlike his two new team-mates with Celtic happy to provide a few extra days off that coincide with the winter break in Scotland.Â
Kawasaki Frontale’s mascot confirms that Reo Hatate departed Japan late Tuesday night local time, so he’s likely already in the UK if not very close.
(Yes, you read that right, it’s the mascot’s account.) https://t.co/xUZfNbcaLg

Since last Friday’s triple signing Dan Orlowitz has virtually become a full time information service for Celtic fans, giving factual details as well as opinion on the players and their transfer fees.Â
Hatate seems to be an attacking midfielder that can play in any midfield role which helps plug the gap caused by the summer exits of Scott Brown, Ryan Christie and Olivier Ntcham.Â
With three new faces in the door Ange Postecoglou has a different dynamic to work with at Lennoxtown this week with the prospect of more new signings to come in the 26 days left in the transfer window.Â
