The Celtic Way leave their subscribers in the dark

Image for The Celtic Way leave their subscribers in the dark

Subscribers to The Celtic Way can still read Graeme McGarry’s offering on how Michael Nicholson is a completely different type of CEO to Peter Lawwell.

The highly remunerated former Celtic CEO was pictured with the Celtic directors at the recent 0-0 draw with St Mirren. According to McGarry, Lawwell was alongside Nicholson who isn’t in the picture and who is understood not to have been at the match.

Finance Director Chris McKay is in the picture and that is good enough for McGarry and The Celtic Way to run a story. Subscribers to The Herald and the Evening Times can also read the premium content.

A simple picture change could have salvaged the story but it seems that after 15 hours no-one on the editorial team or any of the contributors have picked up on the mistake. It is a very simple task to change an image on a web story but it seems that no-one could be bothered.

The subscription site The Celtic Way was launched in the summer by the publishers of The Herald and Evening Times trying to pretend that it is fan media. There are no other subscription based fan media websites but perhaps the digital team at Newsquest know better.

A few podcasts are subscription based and seem to be doing well, with just over 5,000 Twitter followers it seem that The Celtic Way has failed to capture the imagination of hoops fans who have a large and expanding selection of digital options to keep upto date with their team.

Just a newsrag trying to be relevant. The Celtic Way, more like the Celtic NO Way.

Thanks for the heads up Joe I’d heard that there was an imposter, and thanks to you they’re now blocked.
Does my nut when that lot troll your tweets looking for dirt, they’re a twisted bunch and nothing is out of bounds for the, nothing.

Did you just advertise for them?

I too have blocked this Trojan Horse. It shows how much they fear Celtic and Celtic bloggers that they are reduced to this tawdry deception.
