The SFA have announced a surprise change of referee for Celtic’s home match against Hibs.

Bobby Madden was scheduled to be the man in the middle for the original December 29 match but an issue with Kevin Clancy meant that the East Kilbride based official was promoted from fourth official to take charge of the 3-1 win away to St Johnstone on December 26.

With the Hibs match rescheduled the SFA have decided not to give Madden back-to-back Celtic games with Willie Collum now in charge. Collum was scheduled to handle the January 2 Glasgow derby, if he gets that match on February 2 he’ll have two out of three Celtic home matches as the season resumes.

Strangely the SFA are still showing details of the January 2 postponed match with MADDEN in charge, perhaps he will now get the February 2 fixture which would be his sixth Celtic SPFL match of the season.

Collum has been given two previous Celtic SPFL Premiership matches but in the last one, at Motherwell on October 16 he was replaced before half time because of a sore leg.
