Ange Postecoglou won’t be having any sleepless nights about Tom Rogic’s contract expiring in May 2023.

The midfielder has been a player reborn this season, rediscovering the form of the Rodgers Years that saw him deliver goals and artistry on the biggest occasions.

In the summer of 2020 it looked like Rogic was going to slip off into the sunset when Neil Lennon accepted an offer from a club in Qatar but after visiting the Middle East state the player opted to stay on at Celtic.

Like most players at Celtic last season was one to forget but with Postecoglou reviving his form someone decided to ask the Hoops boss about the contract of the player that almost hit a hat-trick in today’s 4-0 win over Motherwell.

Asked if he was concerned about Rogic’s contract expiring in May 2023, The Sun reports Postecoglou saying:

No, it’s the last thing on my mind, mate. We want people here who are happy to be here and want to be a part of it. Unless someone knocks on my door and says they want to go I’ll just let it roll.

Next up for Rogic and Postecoglou is a trip to Aberdeen on Wednesday as Celtic look to extend their winning run in the SPFL to seven matches.

All worked out in the end for Tom and shows Lennon up for what he always was a good player and a shit manager that survived on Rogers left over porridge.

Keep going Tom you’re the quickest football brain on the pitch pal.

Lubo, styluan, Bobby Murdoch, Messi, esq a pure legend of class.
