It has been a long, long wait but after just four minutes of last night’s match Celtic fans were able to celebrate a live goal in the Glasgow derby. Two ball boys especially enjoyed it.

Shutdown arrived on Friday 13th of March 2020, just two days before Celtic were scheduled to play at Ibrox with confidence, momentum and form on their side.

Last season was one of unending misery. Five derby matches, four defeats and a draw with a paltry two goals, the first derby match of last season failed to even produce a shot on target.

Reo Hatate sorted that out last night, after just four minutes he wasn’t just getting a shot on target- he was running away celebrating the opening goal of the match amid 60,000 delirious Celtic fans.

There were two more goals to enjoy, Allan McGregor denied several more but last night felt like more than 90 minutes and three points. Momentum has swung Celtic’s way with two ball boys absolutely delighted by what they witnessed yards in front of them.
